Christchurch & Canterbury Marketing is responsible for the marketing of Christchurch and Canterbury as a visitor destination. We have the largest marketing team of any of the regional tourism organizations in New Zealand and we are dedicated to developing and maintaining strong working relationships (within key markets) with wholesalers, inbound operators, airlines and media. Trade educationals and hosting of visiting media are also effective forms of familiarising those selling our destination, and raising our profile in the national and international marketplace.

CCM Vision
For the Christchurch and the Canterbury region to be the preferred New Zealand visitor destination, whilst enhancing the position of gateway to the South Island.
To be the role model for all Regional Tourism Organizations, and to be acknowledged as the leader in our field in all that we do.
CCM Mission Statement
We will enhance the prosperity of Christchurch and Canterbury by increasing visitor numbers, their length of stay and spend, from markets which are sustainable and impact positively on the Canterbury region.
We will do this by marketing the diversity and uniqueness of Christchurch and Canterbury to New Zealand and selected world markets, and supporting the principles of environmental consciousness and sustainability.
We will support Business Partners' efforts to exceed visitor expectations.

| In partnership with industry operators and local bodies, promotion of the region to international and national visitors (outside Canterbury), in markets which offer the greatest economic value to the tourism industry and region. | |
| Destinational Marketing - Meetings, Conventions/Exhibitions and Incentive Visitors | |
| Through the Christchurch & Canterbury Convention Bureau promoting the city and regional locally, nationally and internationally as a world-class experience visitor destination. We will act as a catalyst in maintaining a cohesive community. maximising the resources of that community. We will source, generate and qualify business (a sales function) incremental to that of the collective efforts of our Business Partners, maximising income to and expenditure within our region. | |
| Provision of Information and Booking Services for Visitors | |
| Through the i-SITE Visitors Centre, City Host programme, amrketing activities, website and other collateral to provide local national and international visitors with high quality information and booking services, whilst encouraging visitors to stay longer in the region and experience more. | |
| Provision of Industry Leadership and a co-ordinated focus for the region | |
| To provide a co-ordinated voice for the local/regional industry to the national level bodies, and also provide a co-ordinated focus for co-operative tourism related activities. | |

In particular, help to ensure Christchurch and Canterbury has the capacity to serve the inevitable growth of visitor numbers in the future (planning on a 5-10 year horizon). | |
