Alpine Pacific Triangle
The Alpine Pacific Triangle is a touring route linking three of Canterbury’s most popular recreational destinations. Hanmer Springs, the alpine thermal village known for its thermal pools, Waipara Valley, a popular and developing wine region, and Kaikoura, with its Whale watching and dolphin swimming. The entire circuit is 370kms and should be enjoyed over a few days. The Alpine Pacific Triangle can be taken in any direction and can be combined with other destinations as part of a memorable tour of the South Island.
Inland Scenic Route 72

The Inland Scenic Route can start in Christchurch, the 2nd largest city in New Zealand and heads down the South Island to Methven, through to Queenstown.
